“Stepping Out” – Going to Charleston

I am very excited to announce that my most recent painting of three curious Bobcat kittens entitled “Stepping Out” (16 x 20 oil painting on canvas) has been juried into the 15th Annual International Guild of Realism exhibition. This year’s exhibit will be held in historic Charleston, South Carolina at the beautiful Principle Gallery. The exhibit will be on display from October 2 through October 31, 2020 at 125 Meeting Street Charleston with the Opening Reception taking place on Friday, October 2.

Competition for this year’s exhibit was rigorous and consisted of two rounds of judging to evaluate over 475 submissions. Artists from many countries entered works for consideration including Canada, Norway, USA, Germany, Denmark, Netherlands, Sweden, Russia, Ukraine, Switzerland, Philippines, Mexico, Greece, Australia, France, Thailand, UK, Spain, Hong Kong and India.

Ultimately, only 107 artists were chosen to display their work at the exhibition.

Founded in 2002, the International Guild of Realism’s primary mission is to advance realism in fine art through museum exhibitions, art gallery shows, workshops and education programs conducted by our members, marketing support, and internet exposure. For the past fifteen years, the Guild has showcased an international group of artists for their yearly exhibitions at various galleries throughout the United States.

I hope that some of you might be able to join me in Charleston to enjoy the Opening Reception. However, due to the current virus conditions, final details of the exhibit and the events associated with it are still under review. Please check back here for future blog posts about the exhibit.

Congratulations Pam! Wonderful painting, so realistic and so much to discover. A beautiful tribute to “nature’s camouflage”.

Pam what an outstanding honor!! Barb and I always look forward to viewing your artistic work on your blog. It is very difficult to identify your paintings from a photograph, you have an exceptional talent. We are so thrilled that we purchased one of your paintings last summer. We wish you the best in the exhibit in Charleston!!!
