President’s Award – Women Artists of the West

I am exceptionally honored to announce that my painting, Finch on the Fountain, has been awarded the President’s Award Signature/Associate for the 50th Jubilee Exhibition of the Women Artists of the West (WAOW).

I am truly thrilled to have been juried into this exhibit and chosen for this award. Last August I wrote about how wonderful it was to have been juried into the WAOW organization – a very select group of approximately 350 women artists whose work encompasses wildlife, old west and contemporary west, ranch and rural life, still life, florals and Native American subjects.

This new award was to have been presented in person at the exhibition at the Settlers West Gallery in Tucson during the opening reception on March 27. Unfortunately, because of the recent coronavirus cautions the entire event had to be cancelled.

However, due to the hard work of WAOW and Settlers West Gallery staff, all of the over 130 art works exhibited are available for purchase and viewable on line at:

Also, there are videos of the 50th Jubilee Exhibition awards presentations and more on the WAOW website at:

From the first time I saw your painting, I knew it was destined to something huge!
It’s so satisfying to see a really fine painting get recognized by the highest judges in the business and so invigorating for the artist to be so highly rewarded, as you have in the Women in Art category. Many, many congratulations!! Julieanna

Pam it is an honor to have met both you and Tom on the trail several years ago. At the time we met you and Tom we had no idea what outstanding artistic talents that we had the pleasure to get to know. We have had several comments regarding the beautiful picture that we purchased from you—the nest with the blue eggs!!
