I am very pleased to announce that my most recent painting “Finch on the Fountain” (16 x 20 oil painting on panel) has been juried into the 14th Annual International Guild of Realism exhibition. Competition for this year’s exhibit was rigorous and consisted of judges evaluating over 450 submissions for the first round of jurying. Of those, approximately 180 paintings were selected for a final round of judging. The final round resulted in a selection of only 92 paintings for the exhibit by 89 artists.
Founded in 2002, the International Guild of Realism’s primary mission is to advance realism in fine art through museum exhibitions, art gallery shows, workshops and education programs conducted by our members, marketing support, and internet exposure. For the past fourteen years, the Guild has showcased an international group of artists for their yearly exhibitions at various galleries throughout the United States.
This year’s exhibit will be held in historic Alexandria, Virginia at the beautiful Principle Gallery. Since opening in 1994, Principle Gallery has been dedicated to representing the highest quality of Contemporary Realism art. The exhibit will be held from September 17 through October 15, 2019 at 208 King Street in Alexandria. The Opening Reception will take place on Friday, September 20 from 6:30 – 9 p.m.
I hope that some of you might be able to join me in Alexandria to enjoy the Opening Reception. However, if you’re unable to attend, please check back here for future blog posts about the exhibit.

Congratulations Pam! What I love is the way you got the water running between the saucers. To look so realistic, that takes special talent. I wish I could go to VA to join you. Know I will be there in spirit. Enjoy Montana. I look forward to Tom’s photos and guessing what you will paint next. Great Job. Linda
