Artists Changing Tomorrow

IMG_2528Artists Changing Tomorrow (ACT), an international project of the nonprofit Arts for Rural Texas based in Fayetteville, Texas, is once again having its biannual exhibit on March 12, 2016. Over 100 pieces of artwork will be auctioned on Saturday, March 12, 2016. ACT, founded in 2010, has raised over $150,000 in its previous exhibits. All of these funds have been used directly for furthering educational and cultural experiences in communities that would not have these opportunities. Art develops creative thinking, improves communication skills, improves learning skills, creates leadership traits, and, in general, elevates the human experience.

ACTBronzeAs a Bronze Signature member of ACT, I feel fortunate that I was once again invited to submit a new work for next year’s exhibit. The Bird’s Nest painting was so much fun to create that I’ve decided to work on a series of similar nests, and I hope that the sale of this edition will help support ACT. The exhibition preview, information on the artists and their artwork and bidding information are available at: http://www.act4art.com/ACT2016.html.

Holland Gallery of Fine Art

San Juan River Bighorn.

The Arizona Art Alliance has been showing a wonderful selection of art since September 26 and will close today (October 29). I was privileged to have my watercolor “San Juan River Bighorn” juried into this show.

BasketOfPumpkinsHave a great Halloween! P.S. My husband and I recently returned from a trip to Northern Italy. We had a fantastic time, and you may well see some of the scenes from Italy appearing as new paintings in the months ahead.
